So far in the Gotham Classic, Ohio State has already hosted Bryant, North Dakota State and Delaware.

The Buckeyes enter tonight’s non-conference match-up with a perfect 11-0 overall record with wins over Morgan State (89-50), Ohio (79-69), at then-No. 17 Marquette (52-35), American University (63-52), Wyoming (65-50), North Florida (99-64), Maryland (76-60), Central Connecticut State (74-56), Bryant (86-48), North Dakota State (79-62) and Delaware (76-64).

In Ohio State’s last game against the Blue Hens, LaQuinton Ross scored a team-high 19 points as the Buckeyes held off Delaware on Wednesday night.

The Buckeyes, who had hit better than 52 percent of their shots in the last five games, could only connect on 40.7 percent from the field in a cold-shooting night against Delaware. To compound matters, Ohio State committed 13 turnovers with just seven assists in a sloppy game. On a positive note, the Buckeyes did outrebounded the Blue Hens, 46-30.

The Irish are 8-3 overall with wins over Miami-Ohio (74-62), Stetson (80-49), Santa Clara (84-69), Army (93-60), Cornell (101-67), Delaware (80-75), Bryant (70-59) and Indiana (79-72). The three losses were to Indiana State (83-70), Iowa (98-93) and North Dakota State (73-69).

In Notre Dame’s last game on Dec. 14 against the Hoosiers, Jerian Grant had 23 points and nine assists while Pat Connaughton scored all 14 of his points in the second half to lead the Irish past Indiana, 79-72, in the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis.

This is the 13th meeting between Ohio State and Notre Dame. The Buckeyes are 7-5 all-time against the Irish. On December 7, 2008 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Evan Turner scored a team-high 28 points and 10 rebounds as OSU defeated No. 7 ND, 67-62.
