After six wins in six games followed by a bye week, Ohio State is smack dab right where they have been for six-straight weeks in the latest top 25 college football polls that were released on Sunday. Just like the past six weeks, the Buckeyes are ranked fourth in the Associated Press and third in the USA Today college football polls.
In the AP poll, Alabama is still No. 1 as the Crimson Tide received 55 of the 60 first-place votes, while Oregon is second with the other five first-place votes. Rounding out the top 10 in the AP poll is No. 3 Clemson followed by Ohio State, Florida State, LSU, Texas A&M, Louisville, UCLA and Miami (Fla.).
In the USA Today coaches poll, Alabama also remains at the top with 58 of the 62 first-place votes. Oregon is No. 2 with three first-place votes. Rounding out the top 10 in the coaches poll, Ohio State is third then it’s Clemson (with one first-place vote), Florida State, Louisville, Texas A&M, LSU, South Carolina and UCLA. and Oklahoma.
Ohio State’s next game is Saturday as the Buckeyes host Iowa (4-2, 1-1 Big Ten). Kickoff at Ohio Stadium is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET, and it will be televised on your local ABC affiliate.
