Brown, a 6-foot-2, 212-pound athlete/running back/wide receiver/Spanish tutor/hallway monitor from Pope John XXII High School in Sparta, N.J., currently receives a four-star rating by all three of the major recruiting websites.

According to Rivals.com, Brown is the ninth-best athlete in the country, while 247Sports.com tabs him at No. 14.

A senior at Pope John, Brown will play wide receiver for the Buckeyes. Given his height and weight, he’ll be a terror on opposing defensive backs.

With Brown on board, the 2014 recruiting class consists of 18 with ATH/RB/WR Curtis Samuel from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.; OG Demetrius Knox from All Saints Episcopal School in Fort Worth, Tex.; OT Jamarco Jones from De La Salle Institute in Chicago, Ill.; WR Terry McLaurin from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, Ind.; QB Stephen Collier from Lee County High School in Leesburg, Ga.; DE Jalyn Holmes from Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, Va.; K/P Sean Nuernberger from Oldham County High School in Buckner, Ky.; OLB Dante Booker from St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School in Akron, Ohio; ATH Lonnie Johnson (6-3, 190) from West Side High School in Gary, Ind.; OLB Kyle Berger (6-3, 215) from St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio; S/LB Sam Hubbard (6-6, 220) from Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio; DE Dylan Thompson (6-5, 270) from Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, Ill.; OT Kyle Trout (6-6, 285) from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Ohio; RB/WR Parris Campbell (6-0, 179) from St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School in Akron, Ohio; CB Damon Webb (5-10, 180) Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Mich.; and OG Marcelys Jones (6-5, 325) from Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio.
