Yesterday, Braxton Miller announced his commitment to Ohio State for the class of 2011 at a press conference held at Wayne High School in Huber Heights.

Miller, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound dual-threat quarterback was courted by many of the top college programs in the country and had 14 scholarship offers.

At Thursday’s presser, Miller had five ball caps to choose from with Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame and Ohio State all on the table. He picked up the Alabama hat first, then put it aside. Notre Dame was next and that went away. The Georgia hat was picked up next, but it went with the others. Florida and OSU hats remained, and after milking it as long as he could, Miller put on the white block “O” cap as cheers rang out from those in attendance.

Miller, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds, is a better passer than Terrelle Pryor was at this stage according to scouts. The same statement was also made by former Buckeye Chris Spielman on ESPN’s College Football Live yesterday.

Ralph Gray Decker, the man who was accused of punching Ohio State linebacker Tyler Moeller at Gator’s Cafe and Saloon last summer, pleaded guilty to one count of felony battery in the Pinellas County Circuit Court in Largo, Fla., Wednesday morning.

Ol’ Ralphie Boy, whose last known address was 5922 48th Ave. N., Kenneth City, Fla., was at Gators Cafe in Treasure Island, Fla., the night that Moeller and his family were there on vacation to celebrate a wedding anniversary.

Decker was originally charge with simple battery, a second-degree misdemeanor, then booked into the Pinellas County jail and later released on a $150.00 bond. Three weeks later, prosecutors upgraded the charge to felony battery after the extent of Moeller’s injuries were presented in court.

According to various reports, just after midnight on July 26, 2009, Moeller met with his sister at the bar, who was talking to Decker. Shortly thereafter, Ralphie Boy questioned whether Tyler played football for Ohio State, though Moeller gave him the wrong name. Decker, using his smartphone, looked up Moeller on the internet. Some words were exchanged before Ralphie Boy sucker-punched him on the chin and Moeller fell back and hit his head.
