The 17th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes will host the Lipscomb Bisons at Value City Arena, Tuesday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network with Dave Revsine and Bill Hosket on the call.

As always, you can hear the game all across the state on the 60-station Ohio State Buckeyes Radio Network with “Big Daddy” Paul Keels and former Buckeye Ron Stokes. WBNS outlets 97.1 FM and 1460 AM are the flagship stations in Columbus.

Lipscomb, a private university on the southern edge of Nashville, Tenn., has an enrollment of approximately 3,500 students and is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference.

The Bisons enter Tuesday night’s game with a record of 0-3 after losing to Elon (91-86), Vanderbilt (95-73) and Tennessee Tech (92-89). Last season, Lipscomb had a record 17-14 and finished fourth in the A-Sun.

Adnan Hodzic, a 6-9, 255-pound junior center from Sarajevo, Bosnia, leads the team in scoring (22.7 ppg) and is second in rebounding (7.7 rpg). He averaged 17.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game and was an Atlantic Sun First-Team All-Conference selection, last season. Hodzic, though, is one guy you want shooting free throws as he’s knocking down only 40.0 percent (8-of-20) of his attempts from the foul line.

Josh Slater, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound junior guard is Lipcombs’ second-leading scorer (18.7) and top rebounder (8.3 rpg).

Third on the team in scoring is 6-foot-7, 215-pound junior forward Brandon Brown, who is averaging 16.0 points per outing.

Rounding out the starting five is 6-foot-6, 200-pound sophomore forward Brian Wright (4.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg) and 6-foot-3, 180-pound freshman guard Zach Brown (1.3 ppg, 2.3 apg), an Ohio native and a graduate of Mason High School near Kings Island.

Lipcombs’ best three-point shooters are 6-foot-5, 190-pound junior forward Michael Teller, who is connecting on 46.7 percent (7-of-15) of his heaves from downtown, and 6-foot-3, 190-pound sophomore guard Jordan Burgason, who has made 5-of-9 (55.6%) of his attempts from beyond the arc, though both players come off the bench.

In the Bisons’ last game against Tennessee Tech, Hodzik scored in double figures for the 30th straight game while leading Lipscomb with 24 points, but it wasn’t enough as Golden Eagles sank a pair of free throws with seven seconds left to win 92-89. Tech led 48-41 at halftime and by as many as 11 points in the second half.

Slater had 19 points, Teller added 13 and Brandon Brown chipped in 10 for the Bisons.

The Buckeyes are 3-1 and are coming off a 76-70 win over then-No. 13 California at Madison Square Garden in New York. Evan Turner scored 26 points with 14 rebounds to lead Ohio State in the third-place game of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer, last Friday night.

Following the Lipscomb game, the Buckeyes will host St. Francis (PA) on Saturday. Tip-off at Value City Arena is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET.
