Buckeyes rout Morehead State
Terence Dials scored 20 points to lead the Ohio State Buckeyes to a lopsided 74-48 win over the Morehead State Eagles in front 12,493 spectators at Value City Arena in Columbus, Sunday afternoon.
Tony Stockman and J.J. Sullinger each added 14 point for the Buckeyes.
When Ivan Harris drained a three-pointer just 20 seconds into the game the rout was on. Later on, Stockman scored on a jumper as the Buckeyes went ahead 24-7 midway through the first half. After a slam dunk by Dials, Ohio State would claim their biggest lead of the half, 37-14, with 5:32 remaining before the break.
Ohio State would hold a 39-22 advantage at halftime.The dominance would continue in the second half. The closest the Eagles would get was with 19:13 remaining on Josh Reed’s three-pointer, making the score 41-25.
Ohio State would get its biggest lead of the game following a Dials jumper putting the Buckeyes ahead 58-30 with 11:06 left.
Ohio State’s next game is Wednesday night against Mercer. Tip-off at Value City Arena is scheduled for 8 p.m.
